A Little Update: Something newis happening behind the scenes at Crafting with Beth! 🧶🪡
I’m rebuilding Crafting with Beth from the ground up! The website will look much the same for now, but big improvements are happening behind the scenes. As a one-person creative studio, I’m doing everything myself, so it will take time, patience, and a few challenges along the way. Thank you for being part of my journey!

Hello, my lovely creative friends!
I have a little update to share with you about what’s happening here at Crafting with Beth.
I’ve been busy working behind the scenes, rebuilding and improving my website to give it a stronger foundation for the future.
But don’t worry! The website will look much the same for now. Most of the changes are happening behind the scenes, so you might not even notice that anything has changed.
Although the appearance will remain familiar, there’s quite a lot of work going on underneath!
So, what’s actually changing?
As some of you may know, I’m not only passionate about crochet and sewing, but I’m also a web developer.
I’ve decided it’s time to rebuild Crafting with Beth from the ground up, creating a stronger and more flexible foundation that will allow the website to grow alongside my creative ideas.
Think of it like renovating a house. You don’t necessarily need to change the furniture, curtains, or decorations to make improvements. Sometimes, the most important work happens behind the walls!
That’s exactly what I’m doing with Crafting with Beth.
I’m keeping the familiar look and feel of the website while improving the technology that powers it.
A little one-person creative studio
There’s something I’d also like to share with you.
Crafting with Beth is a one-person project. There’s no big team working behind the scenes. It’s just me, Elizabeth, doing everything from the ground up.
I’m the person designing and developing the website, writing the articles, creating crochet patterns, working on sewing projects, taking photographs, preparing tutorials, and managing everything that keeps Crafting with Beth running.
Sometimes I’m sitting in front of my computer writing code, and other times I’m surrounded by yarn, fabric, crochet hooks, or my sewing machine!
I love being able to bring my technical and creative skills together, but I also know that doing everything myself comes with its own challenges.
There are only so many hours in a day, and building a website from scratch while creating handmade projects takes a great deal of time, patience, and dedication.
Some things work beautifully on the first attempt, while others need a little more thought, testing, and sometimes starting over.
And that’s perfectly fine. After all, anyone who enjoys crochet or sewing knows that not every project goes according to plan!
Why am I making these changes?
Crafting with Beth has always been a place where I can share my love for handmade crafts, creativity, and learning new skills.
Over time, my ideas have grown, and there are so many things I’d love to introduce to the website.
I want to create a welcoming space where you can comfortably explore crochet patterns, follow sewing tutorials, discover new techniques, and find inspiration for your next handmade project.
To make that possible, I need a website that’s easier to maintain, improve, and expand in the future.
Just like making a crochet blanket or sewing a quilt, having a good foundation makes all the difference.
What does this mean for you?
For now, you can expect things to remain quite familiar.
- The familiar website design – I’m keeping the current look and feel, so you can continue browsing comfortably.
- Your favourite creative content – Crochet patterns, sewing tutorials, and handmade projects will remain at the heart of Crafting with Beth.
- Behind-the-scenes improvements – I’m rebuilding the technology that powers the website to make it easier to manage and maintain.
- Room for future features – The new foundation will make it easier to introduce more helpful resources, patterns, and creative ideas.
- Gradual improvements – Rather than changing everything at once, I’ll be introducing updates little by little.
My goal is simple: to make Crafting with Beth a better place for you to visit, without taking away the familiar experience you’ve come to know.
Good things take time
Because I’m building and managing everything on my own, I know this journey will take time.
There will be challenges along the way, unexpected problems to solve, and probably a few moments when I’ll need to step away from the computer and pick up my crochet hook instead!
I’m not working towards a rushed deadline. I’d rather take my time and build something that works well and can continue growing for years to come.
You might occasionally notice a page behaving differently, a feature temporarily unavailable, or something that still needs a little adjustment.
Please bear with me while I work through these changes.
I’m learning, improving, and building as I go, and every challenge is another opportunity to make something better.
Just like crafting, creating something meaningful isn’t always about how quickly you finish. Sometimes, it’s about enjoying the process and taking pride in what you’ve made.
The same Crafting with Beth, just a stronger foundation!
Although the technology behind the website is changing, the heart of Crafting with Beth remains exactly the same.
It’s still my little creative corner of the internet, where I can share my love for crochet, sewing, and making beautiful things by hand.
I’m excited about what these improvements will make possible, even if it takes a little longer to get everything just right.
One step at a time, one improvement at a time, and perhaps one crochet stitch at a time, I’ll get there!
Thank you for your patience and support ❤️
Whether you’ve been visiting Crafting with Beth for years or you’ve only just discovered my website, I want to say a heartfelt thank you.
Your visits, encouragement, and shared love of handmade crafts mean so much to me.
Knowing that there are people who enjoy the patterns, tutorials, and creative ideas I share makes all the hard work worthwhile.
While I’m busy working behind the scenes, I hope you’ll continue enjoying the creative content already available on the website.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and for being part of my little creative journey.
And remember, sometimes the biggest improvements are the ones you can’t see!
Happy crafting!
With love,
Elizabeth ❤️
